Cure infections with a Poultice

My mother had a severe infection in her foot last year. I only see her once a week so I had heard about it but did not realize how bad it was. My sister took her to the doctor and she was given an antibiotic. When it was my turn to have her for dinner, I took one look at her leg - it was twice the normal size. I don't know why but I suddenly remembered when I was a child, she would place a poultice on an infection. I immediately boiled some water and then poured it over a piece of bread. I cut it in 4 and placed one on her sore.
We left it there until it cooled. I did this with all the pieces. It looked so much better by the time we finished! By the next day, her leg was back to normal and the infected area was much less red!Technorati Tags: infection, poultice
